Everything starts off with our young protagonist Canopus. (It enters space and it makes some friends. It can’t see but it makes others see. It is not gifted, all his friends are also the same.) One day it gets invited to have a talk with Arcturus. Arcturus flaunts his brightness. It tells all facts and discoveries every universe on earth has done about it. It also states how experienced it is with the Sun’s reactions, the planets movement, the asteroids in the belt, sometimes all the spaceships it has ever seen. And what comes with age and fame is something we all know. Maybe many things come but our business here is with its perpetual habit of not letting the other one speak. And so did Canopus suffer.

Far away, down in India a young girl stared at the two twinkling things in the sky speak. She possessed an enough curiosity even at the tender age of twelve to know that the twinkles are for kids to enjoy. The dot of hope there are actually not flickering. She knew (whoever they are,) they are constant. The turbulence in the air leading to refraction further leads to the flickering uncertainty of the stars or perhaps the final sparks of hope in the world. She consoles herself after all what happened in the chemistry class in school. The class got back its results of a surprise test of the subject. Surprise tests are not something she is very good at and walking down the remembered memory lane, she reaches to the conclusion that she has not scored a 10/10 in her surprise tests for probably a long time. In joy she did claim to one of her classmates this fact which was wondrous. Seeing her smile, the teacher asked her what is so special. Her classmate took the opportunity to exclaim joyfully the fact that she had scored full marks and moreover she is joyous because she has never done that before. The entire class laughed and here is she.

Staring up she tries to look harder. She sees one of those stars has suddenly collapsed.

Arcturus it was. The last thing it said to Canopus was that it wants to be the brightest shooting star which shall seek the attention of the wishers in planet Earth. Canopus quite, suddenly observes some unexpected things in Arcturus. It had spoken a lot wasting huge of its nuclear fuel and finally exhausted it. It should have been a shooting star. But it isn’t strange that one takes pride in itself only by looking at its superficial beauty. It had neglected the fact of its heavy mass. And as it is instead of a shooting star it died and became a black hole. Her pride laid her down with a death it didn’t want. (It is something which maybe scientists may take another century to find.)

The girl below, Anna was her name didn’t like the fact that she could not see two stars any more. Little did she know what message the universe had given her. Anyway it is not wrongly said, “The Universe in under no obligation to make sense to you.” So maybe you need people to understand it . For this time let the messenger be me.

The pride Arcturus had taken in its brightness, its fame and recognition had ruined it and its dreams. It had made Canopus sad about itself. But now Canopus has a chance to shine brighter in the sky. And so does Anna (has a chance to radiate confidence) on Earth. Arcturus was laid to death by the energy which ceases your inner thoughts famously known an Pride. On Earth the story isn’t different just the setting is. And yet again the universe didn’t fail to teach Anna a salient fact of the times we experience. It did nothing but teach her that Man is often ruined by his pride.
